Shared Mission Giving

John Knox Presbyterian Church is proud to be a Five for Five church. Five for Five means that our congregation supports Presbyterian mission around the corner and around the globe through the four church-wide Special Offerings and basic mission support (Per Capita).

The four church-wide Special Offerings include One Great Hour of Sharing, Christmas Joy Offering, Peacemaking Offering, and the Pentecost Offering. Basic mission support is the term used for those funds that support the basic mission and ministry programs of the presbytery, synod, and General Assembly. That includes missionary support, national networks, as well as congregational resources and programming.

The church is just beginning our promotion of the One Great Hour of Sharing program for 2009. Watch for upcoming information in the bulletin and the upcoming issues of Heartbeat. There will also be special offering envelopes inserted in the bulletins and the Heartbeat.

Warming Ears

Warming ears is a group of six women in Grandville, Michigan who make polar fleece hats for the needy and homeless in our community and worldwide. John Knox Mission Committee is proud to be connected with this ministry.
